Agent DSN Notifications

Helpful insight for Agents when receiving a…

A Dealer Setup Notification for Agents is a heads up from your administrator that one of your Dealers recently setup products for integration.  We thought you should know!

  • Step 1 – Dealer works with their system provider to setup integration.  We hope you were involved, but don’t bank on it

  • Step 2 – PEN sent a “Dealer Setup Notification to your administrator.  We ask them to verify the products were setup correctly and available for integration.  This is not always the case, which usually leads to errors.

  • Step 3 – The administrator added you as a contact.  THIS IS WHERE YOUR DEALER NEEDS YOU!

HOW CAN THE AGENT HELP A DEALER WITH ONBOARDING?

  • Contact the Dealer to confirm the status.  Are they live?  Is it working?  It is always better to be proactive, then to have to find out about problems after the fact.

  • If the Dealer is having issues, the only way to help them is to get them to work with their system provider.  The system provider help desk is the only team that can diagnose the issue.  80% of problems are setup or user error.  It is the dealer system providers responsibility to be the single point of contact for dealer technical support.

  • Go talk to Accounting!  Make sure they understand how Integrated eContracting produces live contracts that are already reported to the administrator.  This should be welcome news, but if Accounting is not in sync, you invite back office problems.
